THE BEATLES

The Liverpool’s quartet have been the most popular Pop music group of this century and they have sold more cd´s than other groups. This group started in ‘The Quarrymen’ group of Skiffle that John Winston Lennon had made up with some friends.
Next year he met a fourteen’s years old guy, his name was James Paul McCartney and they started to make some songs.

In 1958, George Harrison started to be the guitarist of the group and Stuart Suttcliffe was the bass player.
Their first name was ‘Johnny & The Moondogs’, but they changed it into ‘The Silver Beatles’ and finally, they named ‘The Beatles’.

First of all, The Beatles started to play in Liverpool and they played a merseybeat style with influences of Rock & Roll. Afterwards, they played in Hamburg and when they back Liverpool Stuart Suttclife decided to leave the band and live in Hamburg where he died in 1962.

In 1940, Ringo Starr entered into the group before they published their first single ‘Love Me Do’. The second single was ‘Please, Please Me’ and in 1963, they had written three single and two albums.
Between 1963-1966 they made two films, ‘A Hard Day’s night’ and ‘Help!’. That year their manager, Brian Epstein, died and they had to change their manager.

In 1970, they published their last album ‘Let It Be’. They finished their music career with judgements between McCartney and Lennon and because of that they continued their career lonely.
